I just finished the latest book by Max Lucado. This book has excerpts from various books of Max's, and is about God using the most unlikely people to do what only He can do. This book is a good reminder of who God is and that He can, and will, use ordinary people to do outstanding things.

Most of these stories we've heard over and over, but Max seems to glean nuggets from scripture that we either miss or forget. We may, or may not, have heard and understood what he writes. It will, nonetheless, remind us of God's mercy and grace. This book will give us hope that "God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again." (Phil. 1:6)

Paul shows us that God is a God of second chances. The two thieves hanging on each of Christ made choices. Joseph showed us that God is in control when we forgive and don't try to take matters in our own hands.

You would not go wrong reading this book, even if you’ve read all of Max’s other books. I have read most of the books these chapters were taken from, however I still found it hard to put down.
