CONFRONTING THE PAST

TO KNOW YOU by Shannon Ethridge & Kathryn Mackel is a tale of a mother. A mother who was forced to confront her past and the results that ensued.

As a young college girl, Julia fell in love with Thomas and became pregnant. Her mother and Thomas convinced her to give the baby up for adoption. Reeling from losing the man she loved and her baby she consequently turned to another and becomes pregnant and again gives up the baby.

In time she heals and meets a man who loves her for her and they forge a good life. They have one child that is born with a liver disease and eventually has to have a liver transplant or die. Thus begins the story of her journey to reconnect with the children she relinquished and hopefully save her son.

This is a story of forgiveness, redemption and second chances.   It will hold you captivated and wondering. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would recommend it.

I received this book free for an honest review from Thomas Nelson.
