I love Janice Cantore's books. This is not the first series of hers I've read and it most certainly won't be the last. This series, Cold Case Justice has three books. I had read the first book, Drawing Fire, some time ago, missed the second, Burning Proof, so got it from the library so I could get caught up. This one, Catching Heat, did not disappoint.

Janice keeps you hooked with the romance and a dangling unsolved crime, but each book of can be read as a standalone if you so mind. She is a retired Long Beach police officer so she knows of what she writes. That makes her books compelling as she's well aware of the procedures.

Detective Abby Hart has long looked into the death of her parents, one of the reasons she went into law enforcement. She's worked with Luke Murphy, a private investigator, in her investigation as his uncle was also killed in the same fire. Abby's former partner and mentor, Woody, also friend of Luke's, is assisting them.

Being this is the third and final book in the series it does bring closure, not only in the case but the romance and a few other cases also.

I'd read anything of Janice's and recommend her books to anyone who likes mystery, romance with a good Christian foundation.

I received this book free for an honest review from Tyndale Publisher's.
