THE CHERISHED QUILT, an Amish Heirloom book, by Amy Clipston is the third in a series
about three Amish sisters. By the epilogue it seems there may be another book coming. Amy has Amish friends who answer questions and help keep her books true to the Amish beliefs.

I had read the previous two books so was excited to continue this journey. In this one, Emily the youngest of the Fisher daughters only wants to find the right man and fall in love, have a home and family. One of her sisters, Veronica, is married and Rachel, second one is betrothed and planning her wedding. Emily loves to sew and especially quilt.

Emily assists her Dat in the leather shop he and his best friend Hank owns, by keeping the books along  and helping the customers.

Christopher Hochstetler has come to Bird in Hand to work with his Onkel Hank and learn the leather working trade after a tragedy left him estranged from his family. He attempts to remain distant from everyone but Emily's friendliness and sweetness draws him.

Can a quilt made by Emily's own hands be the catalyst that bridges the pain and help heal  the hurts in a family?

I received a free copy from Zondervan a division of Thomas Nelson Publishing. No review, positive or otherwise, was required - all opinions are my own.
