An Uncommon Courtship is the third in the Hawthorne House Series, by Kristi Ann Hunter. I have read the first two and now anxiously await the fourth.
Lord Trent Hawthorne, the second son, is truly glad he's not the duke and free to oversee his small estate. He wishes to eventually marry for love. When he crashes through the floor and is trapped with an unmarried maid he feels honor bound to marry her.
Lady Adelaide Bell is the forgotten and overlooked daughter, always taking second place to her sister. Her mother never taught her the necessary skills to be a lady and is left to her own devices. Unsure and insecure, knowing that Trent feels trapped she struggles to adjust.
Will be able to overcome the awkwardness, the misunderstandings and will they overcome the unconventional beginning and grow to love each other?
