Waking Up Slowly by Dave Burchett has a lot of thought provoking gems but I found it hard to delve into for all the rabbit trails. Of course, I tend to be a cut the chase person and skim through a lot of added dialogue.

I will say I was expecting a light engaging story including antidotes of their dog that tickled your imagination, much like Jesus's parables. This book is more of a man's journey finding God's grace.

This book is well worth the read, if you can get past the rabbit trails and dig out the jewels.

I received a free copy from Tyndale House Publishing Group. No review, positive or otherwise, was required – all opinions are my own.
